Face Lift

As we age, various factors such as gravity, sun exposure, and the everyday stresses of life can cause the face to wrinkle and sag. Consider a facelift if you look older and more tired than you wish.

Face Lift or Rhytidectomy

Face lift surgery, is the gold standard for “turning back the clock” on aging in the lower face and neck. An effective facelift will restore youthful contours to the cheek, jawline and neck while maintaining a natural appearance. It is important to explain that a facelift does not address the forehead, eyes or midface.

With rhytidectomy, more familiarly known as facelift surgery, Dr. Montfort can restore a fresh, youthful look to the face. During facelift surgery, we contract and realign skin on the face and neck as needed to create a firmer, smoother appearance. Often, we perform facelift in conjunction with other facial cosmetic procedures — both surgical and non-surgical.

Suitable Face lift Candidates

Face lift candidates are unhappy with visible signs of aging and exposure to harsh elements that make their face look tired, sad or older than they are. They turn to Dr. Montfort to improve drooping skin, fat and muscles in the face and neck; remove excess skin and fat from the face and neck; correct a saggy jaw line; and/or eliminate the appearance of deep-set crease lines along the chin, mouth or nose.

To help minimize risks and complications with Facelift Surgery, Dr. Montfort takes all available precautions. Patients should do their part to decrease surgical risks as well. To do this, patients should eat well-balanced meals, avoid smoking and carefully adhere to Dr. Montfort’s pre- and post-surgery directions.
